Organisation & Contact
Principal InvestigatorsEach participating country is responsible both for the project as a whole and for the national part of the ESPAD Project. In each member country a Principal Investigator is therefore appointed. To get in contact with the responsible researcher(s) in respective country, please use the flags to the right or the country-links in the list of Participating countries. Project MeetingsAll major decisions concerning the ESPAD Project are made by the Principal Investigators at the annual Project Meetings, who also elects the Steering Committee. Steering CommitteeBetween the Project meetings decisions are taken by the Steering Committee which also prepares the Project Meetings and functions as an editorial board for the International reports. Meetings are held at least twice a year. Members of the Steering Committee are:

CopyrightThe name of ESPAD as well as the ESPAD questionnaires are copyrighted, which should not prevent researchers from using questions in the ESPAD questionnaire or using ideas from the ESPAD methodology. However, if a researcher wants to use a large part of a questionnaire he/she should ask the coordinators for permission. It is under no circumstances allowed for a researcher to call him/herself an ESPAD researcher if the person is not appointed by ESPAD. It is also forbidden to use the name of ESPAD in relation to a survey, for example by calling a survey an “ESPAD related survey” or something similar. When the ESPAD questionnaire or the ESPAD Project plan is used to any important extent a researcher should always contact the coordinators for further discussions. |
