Data collections within the ESPAD project are held every fourth year. The first was carried out in spring 1995 and the fourth during spring 2007. As can be concluded from the table below, a growing number of countries have participated throughout the years. A total of 35 countries collected data during the 2007 wave. An extra data collection was held spring 2008 in four new countries.
